On the morning of March 23, a tragedy was confirmed in Colombia involving the crash of a Hercules C-130 military transport aircraft of the Air Force, which was carrying around 130 people. According to initial reports, the incident occurred in Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo. The crash happened minutes after the plane took off from Caucayá airport, apparently due to problems with the aircraft. Residents of the area noticed the serious accident due to the strong explosion, as well as the smoke and fire. Members of the Public Force and others quickly arrived at the scene to assist the victims, who were taken to the nearest healthcare center. Authorities are expected to provide an official report on the accident in the coming hours.
